Description

(C) 1900 J. H. Rushton  Canoe wood canvas 16’ Canton New York Adirondack
Pretty nice and fairly early J.H. Rushton #
Rushton was one of the best known canoe builders in the country. The Indian and Indian Girl models were unique with Rushton and became the mainstay of the Boat Shop in the last four years of his life. The beauty of these canvas-covered canoes, particularly the Indian Girl, combined with their steadiness, strength and low cost, made them one of the outstanding values in the history of small-boat building. The Indian Girl was Rushton’s most popular model. This canoe is in fair condition. Deaccessioned from a Museum.
Could use as is or or good candidate for restoration.
Fantastic as is to adorn your camp, cabin, lodge, office or restaurant.
This is another boat we are proud to offer.
