Description

Vintage
New York Subway
Porcelain Train Station Sign (circa 1930s)
from the IRT 110th Street – Broadway Station on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
This sign would have been hanging on the metal beams separating the tracks, facing the station platform
in and for public view.
Measures 9 inches by 12 inches.
Condition as shown in photos.
Please note bend on the top right side of the sign, a long chip off of the porcelain, cutting across the top of the number 0,
and some paint overlay around the edges of the sign,
likely from decades of layers of painting on the pillar that this sign hung from.
Paint overlay may be removable by the next buyer, should he or she wish to do so.
This sign is being offered as is, as a unique and lower cost alternative to owning a vintage porcelain subway sign.
Great Holiday gift for man cave / train collector to display on the wall.
