LID ONLY Pink Depression Glass Gold Encrusted Floral Band Trim Cover Relish Dish

Well, well, what have we here?
Up for bid is this great replacement lid only, featuring pink depression glass with a gold encrusted floral band around the rim.  I believe this lid would belong to a three-part relish dish, or perhaps a compote or large candy dish.  The lid shows an overall diameter of around 6-1/2″, with the inner nesting flange measuring about 6″. The lid comes to you in excellent vintage condition, with light signs of surface wear commensurate with age and normal use, including a small, smooth chip along the nesting flange as well as a few other minor nibbles, but no significant topside damage like chips, fractures, or deep scratches.    In terms of manufacturing issues, there is a straw mark near the finial, but this is insignificant. I hope this lid is just the replacement you’ve been looking for!
The cold, hard truth, aka shipping & handling terms:
As projected by eBay’s shipping calculator, domestic shipping costs on Priority packages reflect USPS counter price–with First Class parcels being a close estimate of actual price within the fluctuating per-ounce rate–plus $0.73 in my handling fees.  International bidders will need to contact me for a shipping quote, which will include a 10% handling fee on postal costs.  This handling fee not only contributes toward the obvious selling expenses of bubble wrap, boxes, printer ink, and tape, but more significantly towards the steep selling fees imposed by both Ebay and Paypal on your total invoice (item + shipping).  Imagine that on even a 99c transaction, I will be charged 90c in seller’s fees; the sale of a $5 dollar mug will incur me over $2 in fees–the higher the cost and weight of the item, so too the fees.  Without the buffer of a handling fee, I would not be to afford to stay in business.   So, if you want this awesome item–and you know you want it!–these are the buyer’s terms that you are agreeing to.
